Almost There ...

One more day of work, then it will be 3 weeks of nothing but bike.

New tires were mounted up earlier this week, with the old rubber stored away for after I return. Going with harder tires for longer life during the rally, but still had a good bit of life left in the old Michelins.

The bike is back together, lights aimed, electronics wired. This weekend I start packing the bike with my normal multi-day rally load ... the one exception being the spare final drive assembly I'll be carrying to hopefully lower my likelihood of needing it at all. The bike will be ready to roll out of the garage Sunday, even though I don't start heading out for South Carolina until Tuesday.

One more systems check, then it will be go time.
